Creative COW is a wonderful resource for Designers and Editors alike. Even though they don't target "TV News" needs specifically. There is a lot to be learned from the wealth of knowledge in their tutorials, articles, and in-depth forums. The tutorials are very easy to follow and range vastly in subject matter.
It's continued education that you don't have to pay for, not to mention pretty much instant access to some of the people out on the leading edge of the Post Production world. Well worth a look.
